the joad family was represented all of Americans that left there homes, the struggles that many family's encountered, some got through it some didn't. many family's barely surviving to eat, and not having enough money to go on to California. the justice system was corrupted at the time, the police would do things for money. jobs were being cut, people doing everything they can to keep there jobs. money was almost worthless. searching for work no matter the condition. surviving is difficult enough but surviving it sane is incredible.
